Greetings creators large, small, and everything in between!

SizeCon Micro returns November 10th-12th, 2023, and this year, we’d like to host a video showcase, a theater of size cinema, within our online convention space! Our goal is to showcase the fantastic things being made by the many content creators, animators, directors, and special effects artists in our community, as well as to foster growth and camaraderie among those making things in this space. To make this happen however, we need videos to feature!

This is a call for entries to all creators making videos in the size community and is open to everyone, whether you’re making work about giants, tiny folk, expansion, inflation, weight-gain, or some other sizey concept, both safe for work and not safe for work. Likewise, we’re open to all types of video: live action, traditional animation, 3d animation, stop motion, and beyond. If you’re doing something cool that we haven’t considered, please reach out!

Below are all the important details about submitting your work. Please read everything to ensure that your submission isn’t rejected due to missing a step!

Eligibility Criteria

• This opportunity is open to all video creators 18 and older creating work within the size community, including, but not limited to, work featuring giants, tiny folk, expansion, inflation, weight-gain, or other concepts relating to size.

• Creators do not need to be an exhibitor or attendee at this year’s SizeCon Micro to be eligible for inclusion. Being an exhibitor or attendee has no impact on the selection process.

• Both safe for work and not safe for work video may be submitted. Any work featuring persons/characters under 18 years of age will be rejected immediately.

• All kinds of video are eligible, including, but not limited to, live action, 2d animation, 3d animation, stop motion, etc.

• All work must be original and made by the video creator. Video made through the use of AI will be rejected immediately. Video featuring fan art or characters from Disney, Marvel, or other popular corporate-owned properties not belonging to the video creator will be rejected immediately.

• Consent is essential: edits to videos pulled from Instagram/TikTok/other social media are not permitted. Any live action footage must have been shot by the video creator and with the consent of all actors/actresses involved. Likewise, any and all audio must belong to the video creator: for example, creating an animation with audio pulled from Instagram/TikTok/other social media is not permitted.

• This is not a business relationship: SizeCon is not selling your work on your behalf, and no money is involved in the video showcase in any way. We just want to feature cool stuff at the convention!

Submission Guidelines

• Submission deadline: 4/5/2024

• Video creators may submit up to two (2) thirty (30) second clips. These clips must be accessible via a link from Dropbox, OneDrive, or Google Drive. Links to adult video websites are not accepted. Video files attached directly to the email submission are not accepted.

• Because of the limitations of our online convention platform, video clips used in the showcase will be the same links sent in your submission, so ensure that these links are viewable by anyone with the link.

• Submissions must be sent to production@sizecon.com with the subject line “<Your name, username, or handle> Video Submission” Example: “ShrinkyDink Video Submission”

Creators do not have to include their real names if they do not wish to.

• Creators must include at least one link to either a personal website or an online social media presence (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, DeviantArt, Tumblr, BlueSky, Threads, etc.) in order to verify authorship of the work. Creators’ links will be displayed alongside accepted work during the show so that convention attendees can follow the artists outside of SizeCon Micro.
