To our friends of all shapes, colors, genders, and, of course, sizes:
As a United States-based convention of fans, artists, writers, models, actors, game designers, and entertainers, we know that the results of the most recent American election have caused a confusing and scary time for many of you. We recognize that the next American president supports qualities directly opposed to the values we champion strongly in our community and has made no secret that his administration desires to take action against industries and peoples whom we support in our space.
We wanted to take the time today to let you all know that no matter what the next few years may bring, our convention’s mission is not changing and it is our intent as a staff and board to keep things going as they have been. We will continue to support you in all the ways we can.
SizeCon 2025 is still on schedule for February and we look forward to seeing all of you in our new Portland, Oregon location!
We will continue to celebrate, validate, and preach self-love and acceptance. We will continue to reject all forms of bigotry and intolerance, and will continue to uphold our ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY for harassment of any kind. Hate is not welcome here and never will be.
We will continue to uphold strong standards in our security and technology teams to ensure that your safety is our priority when you attend our convention and events, offline or online.
The celebration of adult content and the creators who make it will remain a core portion of our programming. We will continue to keep the show as a “Choose Your Own Adventure” style of event where you can find the content that best fits you.
When we highlight the work of academics and experts - especially in psychology, sexology and kink culture - we will always support evidence-based health education and safety.
We deeply believe that those involved with the adult industry and sex work should be treated with dignity and respect. No person should ever be coerced into sex work or sexual relationships against their will. We are all human beings first and we all equally deserve this standard in our lives and society.
SizeCon would specifically like to acknowledge the recent announcement from CoiledFist (CF) to close down the site at the end of January. We know that so many in our community have found connection, friendship, and belonging from the over 20 years of its existence, and the unique niche it has filled for queer and gay male size content. We feel the collective grief of this loss and want all to know that CoiledFist members and gay male content will always have a place at SizeCon and its events. We are in this together.
This community is here for you and we will remain here for you. Period.
This month, our SizeCon Nano team is planning on hosting a Nano for the community to come together, speak as you need, and simply reconnect with one another. We will make an announcement regarding the date of that event very soon.
With all of that said, we also understand that right now is a challenging time. Some may feel betrayed, alone, abandoned, and hopeless. SizeCon wants you to know we can make space for sadness and anger and that you are not alone in this. There are a number of resources, tools, and organizations out there just like us who remain working as hard as we will.
Our staff have collected resources below that may be particularly applicable to many in our community. We hope you may find these supportive and welcome feedback or further recommendations.
We shall move, grow, and shrink onwards, into the future. <3
Sincerely,
The SizeCon Staff & Board of Directors
